Information we collect
Mama Wave collects the information needed to provide parent-owned accounts and age-aware family experiences. This can include a parent email address, name, country and timezone; a child nickname, broad age cohort and optional approximate birth information; saved content, routine and playback activity, download records, subscription status, privacy requests, and messages sent to support. We do not require a child photo or exact birth date for the core experience.
How information supports the service
We use information to authenticate parents, provide age-appropriate content, remember parent choices, synchronize saved items, show private progress, process subscription status, deliver requested email, answer support messages, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not use child information for behavioural advertising.
Children’s privacy and parent control
Mama Wave is designed for parent-managed use with children ages 0–5. A parent creates and controls child profiles, enables eligible preschool discovery, and manages privacy, account, and subscription actions. Child-safe experiences do not include public chat, comments, purchases, external links, or child-facing behavioural advertising.
Security, retention, and deletion
Mama Wave uses access controls, encrypted connections, secure cookies, hashed credentials and tokens, limited administrative access, logging, backups, and review processes. We retain information only while it is needed for the service, security, legal, or accounting purposes. Parents can request an export or permanent account deletion from authenticated parent space; limited records may be retained where law requires it.
Your choices, regional rights, and contact
Parents can update account information, manage communication choices, export parent-owned records, and request deletion. Additional rights may apply based on where you live in Canada or the United States.
