Our accessibility commitment
Mama Wave is designed for parents, caregivers, educators, and family-support professionals with different access needs, devices, languages, and levels of digital confidence. Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA for core website and mobile journeys, with accessibility included in design, engineering, content, and quality review.
Keyboard, focus, and navigation
Public pages provide a skip link, semantic landmarks, logical headings, visible keyboard focus, and controls that can be operated without a pointer. Navigation, dialogs, filters, audio controls, forms, and parent-only actions should expose their current state and preserve a predictable focus order.
Screen readers and accessible names
Images use meaningful alternative text when they communicate content and empty alternative text when they are decorative. Form fields have programmatic labels, errors are connected to the relevant field, dynamic status is announced, and buttons avoid relying on shape or colour alone. We test representative journeys with modern assistive technology.
Text, colour, contrast, and responsive layout
Mama Wave uses readable text, Deep Navy for primary copy, visible focus indicators, responsive layouts, and controls sized for touch. Information is not communicated by colour alone. Pages are designed to reflow without horizontal document scrolling at common mobile and desktop widths and to support browser zoom.
Motion, audio, and media
Reduced-motion preferences are respected for non-essential animation. Audio controls provide accessible names, play and pause state, progress, loading, completion, and error feedback. Transcripts or equivalent text alternatives will be added where spoken content is needed to understand the experience.
Feedback and continuous improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We review new components, content, and core journeys and prioritize barriers according to impact.
